【摘要】:Usersofhydraulicequipmentwhichincludespistonpumpswouldlikeassurancethatthefluidstheyusewillallowtheirsystemstooperatesafelywithreasonableequipmentlife.Thisassuranceiscommonlyprovidedbythefluidsupplierintheformofresultsofstandardizedtestsonthefluid,ordemonstratedsuccessinfielduseinsimilarsystems,orboth.Thisguidewillhelpfluiddevelopersandusersdeveloptestingprotocolswhichdemonstratethesuitabilityofafluidforitsintendeduse,includinganyrequiredlimitationsonhydraulicsystemoperatingconditions.Thesignificanceanduseofeachtestmethodcitedinthisguidewilldependuponthesysteminuseandthepurposeofthetestmethod.UsethemostrecenteditionsofASTMtestmethods.1.1Thisguidecoverstheestablishmentoftestprotocolsandmethodologiesfordeterminingthesuitabilityoffluidsforuseinfluidpowersystemsthatincorporateaxialorradialpistonpumps.Thesuitabilityofallfluidtypestomeetspecificlevelsofperformanceinpistonpumpsisaddressed.Thesefluidsinclude,butarenotlimitedtoformulationsbasedonmineral,syntheticorvegetableoilbasestocks.Thefinishedfluidsmaybeintheformofstraightoils,solubleoilsorinvertemulsions.1.2Thetestprotocolsandmethodologiesdescribedinthisguidehavebeenselectedfortheirabilitytodistinguishbetweenhighlyacceptable,acceptableandunacceptablefluidperformanceinpistonpumps.Theytakeintoaccountthebroadrangeofoperatingconditionspistonpumpsaresubjectedto,aswellasthecommonvariationsindesignandmaterialsofconstructionamongpumpmanufacturers.1.3Thisguideisintendedtocomplementproprietarytestprotocolsandmethodologiesemployedbysomepistonpumpmanufacturers.Thetestprotocolsandmethodologieswithinthisguidemayhelppumpmanufacturers,fluidformulatorsandendusersaccuratelyscreenpotentialfluidsforspecificperformancecharacteristics.Theresultsofthisscreeningmaybesufficientincertaininstancesforpumpmanufacturerstoforegorequirementsforadditionalfluidperformancetests.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
