【摘要】:ThistestmethodismostusefulfordeterminingthemoduliofrigidityoforthotropicmaterialsforwhichmoduliofrigiditycannotbecomputedfromelasticmoduliandPoissonrsquo;ratios.Theshearmodulusdeterminedbythismethodappearsintheequationgoverningthebendingofaplate.Thisisthemodulusthatisneededindiscussingthedeflectionandbucklingofplates.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationoftheshearmodulusofwood-basedstructuralpanelsassociatedwithsheardistortionintheplaneofthepanels.Themethodisapplicabletoalltypesofwood-basedstructuralpanels.Thegraindirectionororientationoftheindividualplies,laminations,orlayersshallbeparallelorperpendiculartotheedgeofthetestspecimen.Iftheplies,laminations,orlayersareofdifferentmaterialorelasticproperties,themethodgivestheeffectiveshearingmodulus.Wood-basedstructuralpanelsinuseincludeplywood,waferboard,orientedstrandboard,andcompositesofveneerandofwood-basedlayers.Note18212;Thistestmethodisprimarilydesignedformaterialinwhichthegrainororientationoftheindividualplies,laminations,orlayersisparallelorperpendiculartotheedgeofthespecimen.Itmaybeused,however,forplywoodspecimensinwhichthegrainisat45tothespecimenedgesifafour-plypanelwithallpliesofthesamethicknessisused.ThecontrollingconditionisthattheEI(modulusofelasticitymomentofinertia)valuesalongbothdiagonalsshallbeequal.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
